Why we created Primed to Perfection

The beauty industry is full of products promising a flawless finish. Yet a familiar frustration remains: you can invest in premium skincare and a beautiful foundation, then still find your makeup creasing, fading, separating or losing its freshness by midday.

The answer is not always a different foundation or more setting powder. Often, it is the preparation underneath.

Primed to Perfection was created to focus on that overlooked step. A primer is the layer between skincare and makeup. It helps create a smooth, balanced canvas, so the products applied over it can perform as intended.

Our founder brings a practical combination of commercial, legal and beauty-industry experience to the brand. After a career in commercial legal services, she spent more than two decades helping grow a national beauty brand and one of Australia's largest makeup training colleges. Across those years, one pattern was clear: even people using high-quality skincare and makeup often overlooked the preparation step that helps bring the full routine together.

That is the gap Primed to Perfection was created to address.

 

A specialist approach to primer

We are not trying to make every product in a makeup bag. We specialise in makeup primer and the preparation that makes it work, because we believe genuine expertise requires focus.

Our range includes face and eye primers, alongside two dedicated preparation formulas. Glow Gel Primer delivers lightweight hydration and a luminous-looking finish. Eye Fix Primer prepares the eyelids for eyeshadow. Smooth Cream is a nourishing cream that hydrates and conditions the skin as part of your pre-makeup routine. Lip Fix is a conditioning, plumping lip balm that preps and comforts the lips ahead of colour.

Each formula is designed with the needs of its application area in mind. The skin on the face, eyelids and lips behaves differently, so it deserves more than a one-size-fits-all approach.

Primed to Perfection combines makeup performance with skincare-focused ingredients, including Hyaluronic Acid, Polyglutamic Acid, Niacinamide, Shea Butter and Jojoba Oil. Our aim is simple: to create primers that feel purposeful in your routine, whether you wear a full face every day or prefer a natural, no-makeup makeup look.

Glow Gel Primer and Lip Fix are vegan. Smooth Cream and Eye Fix are not. All Primed to Perfection products are cruelty-free. Where possible, our products are Australian made.
